Heather featured on WFMU’s Morricone Island Tuesday Sept 8th 7-8

Tuesday, September 8th, 7pm – 8pm: Heather McIntosh (Z For Zachariah/Compliance)

Morricone Island welcomes Heather McIntosh, composer of director Craig Zobel’s “Z For Zachariah,” the follow up to his 2012 critically-acclaimed “Compliance.” Heather is the house cellist for the Elephant 6 Collective playing and recording with the likes of The Olivia Tremor Control, of Montreal, Elf Power, Circulatory System, Apples in Stereo and The Ladybug Transistor. She has extended her multi-instrumental talents outside of Athens with Kevin Ayers, Linda Perhacs, Faust, Animal Collective, Cat Power, Superchunk, M Ward, St. Vincent, Azure Ray, Icy Demons, Bright Eyes, Gnarls Barkley and Lil Wayne. The soundtrack was released by Varese Sarabande on September 4th.
